Reports to: Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Manager / Senior Marketing Manager
The Role
The Marketing Executive primarily responsible for helping to plan, develop and implement excellent marketing campaigns for our events in line with the strategic objectives of the business. They are technology-oriented, with the ability to develop, monitor and optimise outbound campaigns and product websites. They are digitally savvy, analytical and data-oriented with a history of continuous improvement and learning from past campaign performance. Experience of marketing technologies (email marketing and CMS systems) is essential, and automation experience is desirable. The candidate will be a strong communicator who works well as part of a marketing team, sharing that knowledge to drive commercial performance and results.
Job Summary
To work with the marketing manager and marketing team to deliver successful marketing campaigns for exhibitions, conferences, awards or digital products in line with agreed KPI's.
Planning & Campaign Management
- Work with the marketing managers to deliver marketing campaigns and event websites in line with strategic objectives.
- Follow and update operational implementation plans and ensure adherence to deadlines (including Gantt charts, Time & Action Plans, Content Calendars, Budget Trackers)
- Ensure all tracking is in place (as per Informa guidelines) and that as much of the campaign can be attributed to a channel/activity as possible. Develop ways to incentivise monitoring offline channel performance
- Evaluate the performance of media, associations, industry partners and social media influencers and provide feedback/recommendations to marketing manager.
- Coordinate all deliverables with contras and partner marketing agreements
- Analyse previous performance and work with CRO to recommend website strategy to maximise relevant traffic and conversion
- Identify the relevant audience profiles, build segments and coordinate with suppliers for the delivery of direct marketing campaigns
- Raise PO’s and maintain budget trackers and manage payments to suppliers
Analysis & Insight
- As directed by the marketing manager, monitor campaign performance and produce relevant and timely reports
- Share relevant insights with the marketing manager to drive revenues or pursue new opportunities
- Analyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns
- Work with data & insights team to capture relevant and timely data (onsite & post-show surveys, registration forms, industry research etc.)
- Work with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered to
- Provide pre-agreed reports during and post-campaign to monitor channel effectiveness and ROI
- Use recommended campaign analytics dashboards daily to monitor performance
- Become part of a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the team
- Share case studies with marketers within the team, EMEA division and Informa Markets business
Marketing Execution
- Identify the target audience and key segments within the target universe
- Send timely, relevant communications through a designated mix of channels and optimise the effectiveness of these channels
- Monitor and adjust campaign activity based on performance metrics
- Work with other marketers to deliver content through selected channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, direct mail etc.)
- Build, maintain and optimise product websites and work with internal or external support teams to make advancements and maximise conversion from the sites
- Manage and format any external files for import into the Informa database
- Ensure all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing is thoroughly proofed, adheres to brand guidelines and agreed standards

- Experience of using email marketing or marketing automation technology (Eloqua)
- Experience of working with CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager)

- Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting
- Experience in marketing analytics and reporting platforms (Adobe Analytics)
- Knowledge of digital marketing practices (PPC, SEO and online advertising)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
