Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
SUMMARY
The Housekeeper performs any combination of light cleaning duties to ensure that private households and retirement establishment are in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.
Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.*
Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.*
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.*
Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.*
Observe precautions required to protect retirement community and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.*
Under supervision, clean, polish, and sanitize gathering and public spaces.*
Clean residents’ apartments on a weekly basis or as needed.*
Maintain assigned areas in an orderly and attractive manner.*
Submit work orders to the maintenance team as needed.*
Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.*
Interact with residents and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing assistance and directions as requested.*
Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled hours*
Other duties as assigned.*
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6 months to 1 year of industry-related experience; or a combination of related experience and education.
