Manager, Ecommerce – Jo Malone Online


Position Summary

Responsible for management and execution of all conversion-driving online marketing channels for Jo Malone US & CA brand sites. Ability to support online acceleration through continued channel optimization, identification of incremental opportunities and an ongoing strategic approach to ensure that marketing channels consistently meet KPIs. Work with agency partners, brand marketing and consumer engagement teams to develop full funnel programs that are designed to increase engagement, traffic, conversion and revenue. Work with Global online division to plan and rollout global brand programs while working with regional partners to ensure local relevance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive brand site growth by continually optimizing marketing channels to meet key objectives based on analytics and best practices (paid search, social, display and email marketing channels)
  • Responsible for day-to-day execution and ownership of email marketing as well as development of triggered email roadmap, targeted marketing campaigns with a focus on omnichannel DTC consumer experience
  • Ability to identify trends/shifts in performance and incremental opportunities and partner closely with Consumer Engagement team to ensure a fluid full-funnel approach to online media campaigns
  • Develop effective relationships with regional and global teams to execute hero SKU strategy, and support all brand campaigns and strategic brand initiatives across all online marketing channels
  • Lead Status calls with agency partners to review marketing strategies, plans and results
  • Own the overview of online marketing channel performance and manage specific actions/needs to enhance overall business
  • Develop and oversee the ongoing maintenance of an actionable channel analytics dashboard to meet ongoing business objectives. Conduct post mortem analytical overview on any new campaigns or market tests.
  • Determine key objectives for marketing channel improvements and enhancements. Work with agency partners to execute and report on performance
  • Manage JML US & CA email program executing all daily broadcast sends, while also building a robust trigger mailing roadmap including the launch of new
    • Create and/or optimize touchpoints to increase engagement, drive repeat and maintain brand loyalty, including revamped Welcome Series with segmentation and personalization based on behavior, segmented category-specific replenishment touchpoints based on purchase, Sample Follow Up email with plans to include dynamic elements once Braze migration is complete
  • Increased support of omni initiatives, partnering close with the FSS, including social geo-targetting, dedicated emails highlighting in-store services and new openings and Virtual Masterclasses
  • Support new Bambuser launch with multiple dedicated emails per event
  • Increased involvement in media through the below new ownership/responsibilities:
    • Manage budget tracker and monthly spend, keeping track of any incremental budget or shifts
    • Own development of traffic and revenue goals with agencies
    • Develop media KPI document and update with monthly KPIs across tactics for easy access to data
    • Spearhead tests across tactics including launch of Branded Content Ads, Boosted IG posts, DABA, DPA strategy etc.
  • Presentations to key stakeholders (ex. agency briefing, quarterly media presentations)

  • Proven and consistent track record of executing against an aggressive growth strategy and delivering results.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels and eCommerce/digital technology.
  • Needs to be a creative thinker and problem solver, thrive in fast paced environment, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to create and deliver Executive level presentations.
  • BA/BS required

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $133,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
