• Program Management experience in a fast-paced process driven manufacturing, production or distribution/logistics environment • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels • Have bias for action and be passionate about achieving results and driving production through efficiency and process improvement. • Possess the ability to manage detail, establish root cause and be able to extract and analyse data while demonstrating effective problem-solving and analytical skills. • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position. • Team player who has the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and can facilitate successful project work, operating to deadlines • Fluent English essential. Knowledge in other European languages will be an advantage • Knowledge in SQL/MySQL and Tableau • Willing to travel within EU when required

Key job responsibilities
The EU AMXL ReLo Program Team overseas the Reverse Logistics operations across EU, driving operational excellence and process compliance efforts. We aim to bring an end-to-end approach to AMXL Reverse Logistics that includes our capabilities across ReLo Ops and ReLo Trans, while also integrating a quality and vendor returns focus.

We're looking for Program Managers to deliver large and medium scale projects and programs within the Last and Middle mile EU AMXL Returns network. You will be responsible for managing significant operational and service growth across the European Operations and work with cross-functional and cross-departmental teams to understand the business and identify customer needs.

To be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable driving operational projects in a high pressure and often ambiguous work environment and interfacing with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. The role will include a mix of operational and strategic projects and short term tactical tasks. The ideal candidate has a broad skill set including excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work, strong written and oral communication skills and a passion for creating effective processes and mechanisms that scale.

A day in the life
Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver a comprehensive analytics capability to forensically investigate our processes, operations and technical systems, providing detailed, data-driven insight to shape our program and operational decisions
  • Working with engineering, supply chain and operations stakeholders to evaluate and support business decisions in an ambiguous environment
  • Designing program mechanisms to reduce bottlenecks, improve communication, identify risks, and gather feedback from a wide range of worldwide stakeholders
  • Develop regular program communication, including launch plans, timelines, status updates, post-launch assessments and performance reviews
  • Rolling up your sleeves to help get things done: we’re in expansion mode!
  • Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses

About the team
This role is part of the Worldwide AMXL Program which is an initiative designed to help Amazon improve and expand the delivery of large items and those requiring special handling and additional services for exceptional customer experience. The target is to grow this business in EU with excellent customer experience and cost position.

This Program Manager will be a resourceful and confident team player who can think out of the box in an ambiguous problem space, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to build a program that will significantly impact AMXL Last and Middle Mile Returns pick-up capabilities globally.
