The Director of Student Services is responsible for all aspects of WMRSD's special education programs to ensure that students special education needs are being met. Working closely with the Superintendent and the District Leadership Team, the Director implements policies and procedures promoting the success of students with disabilities, students who are homeless, and students who require individual support. The Director supports program accountability in all schools. The Director also works closely with the Business and Finance Administrator in ensuring fiscally responsive practices.
Candidates should possess a strong working knowledge in federal and state grant funding, specialized transportation, home-based services, Medicaid reimbursement, behavioral and educational consultation, and professional development services.
